AberCollab is now accepting applications for research projects seeking to improve their collaborations.
AberCollab will provide training and financial support for collaborative workshops and networking events intended to facilitate intellectual and creative collaboration between AU researchers and external partners. To optimize these opportunities, AberCollab awardees will also receive additional coaching by the Dialogue Centre and access to content writers, graphic designers and logistical support.

Our review of the 2023-2024 academic year marks the first full year of Dialogue Centre activity. During this period, we focused on developing new and existing knowledge exchange activities as well as running collaborative research pilot projects and establishing Tŷ Trafod, our flagship research dialogue hub on the University’s main campus.

A prestigious Purple Plaque will be unveiled in Aberystwyth today (Friday 3 November) in honour of a remarkable woman who led a deputation to the United States of America in 1924 to deliver a peace petition signed by almost 400,000 Welsh women.

If you’ve been into the Visualisation Centre on Penglais campus in recent weeks, you’ll have noticed a few changes. Firstly, the main entrance has moved to the side of the building. More importantly, the ground floor foyer area has undergone a transformation.

Building Bridges: Wales’ democracy – now, and for our future

Dr Jennifer Wolowic and Dr Anwen Elias participated in the Institute of Welsh Affairs roundtable, titled ‘Wales’ Democracy: Now and in the Future’.
Based on the roundtable, a new report was created, Building Bridges: Wales’ democracy – now, and for our future, which calls for measures to strengthen Wales’ democracy beyond the electoral cycle and warns against the effects of political pessimism if we are to overcome our ‘democratic malaise’.
Dialogue Centre Opens New Research Hub on Penglais Campus

The Dialogue Centre has opened a new Research Dialogue Hub in the Visualisation Centre on Aberystwyth University’s Penglais campus.
Known as ‘Tŷ Trafod’, these specially designed rooms offer an open gathering space for researchers and external partners as well as adaptable set ups for knowledge exchange and dialogue events.

Work has started on creating a new Research Dialogue Hub in the Visualisation Centre on Aberystwyth University’s Penglais campus.
From late May 2023, the ground floor foyer of the building is being transformed to provide a specially-designed space for research and knowledge exchange activities coordinated by the University’s Dialogue Centre.
